TRAINING SYLLABUS, MARCH AND APRIL 2008

CLASSROOM SECTION: 9 classes plus 1 make-up (22.5 hours)
Location: Norfolk Botanical Garden, Baker Hall
Day and time: Mondays, 6:30 - 9:00 p.m.

  2. Biogeography, Physiography, Geology (and the Chesapeake Bay Meteor) (3/10)
  3. Internet and Risk Management (3/17)
  4. Invertebrates (3/24)
  5. Vertebrates (3/31)
  6. Trees and Other Plants (4/7)
  7. Ecological Concepts (4/14)
  8. Watershed Approach to Resource Management (4/21)
  9. Interpretive Skills (4/28)
  10. Make-up: TBD (5/5)

FIELD TRIP SECTION: 4 trips with one make-up (18 hours of training)

  1. Virginia Aquarium & Owl's Creek (3/15; 4.5 hours)
